At ICS London, we are an accredited IB World School with extensive experience of delivering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The Diploma is an internationally recognised qualification, respected by universities in the UK and around the world, and provides students with a strong academic foundation for their next steps in higher education and beyond.

Our IB Diploma students, aged 16 to 18, are supported by experienced and dedicated teachers who understand the importance of balancing academic challenge with personal development. Students are encouraged to think independently, explore their interests and develop the confidence to take responsibility for their learning. A Broad and Balanced Curriculum

Students study a range of subjects across the IB Diploma curriculum, allowing them to develop both breadth and depth in their learning. Subject choices include Language and Literature, Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, Languages, Business and Visual Arts.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

The IB Diploma Programme at ICS London encourages students to become independent, curious and open-minded learners. Alongside developing strong academic knowledge, students are encouraged to think critically, make connections across subjects and engage with the wider world.

Through the core elements of the Diploma Programme, including Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), students develop the skills, confidence and sense of responsibility to make a positive contribution beyond the classroom.

Globeducate Events

Students also have opportunities to take part in Globeducate events, connecting with peers from schools around the world through experiences such as the Globeducate Leadership Summit in the autumn term and Model United Nations (MUN) in the spring.

These experiences allow students to broaden their perspectives, develop their leadership and communication skills, and engage with global issues in an international community. 

IGCSE to IBDP Progression

Our iGCSE programme provides a strong foundation for students progressing to the IBDP. Through a broad and academically challenging curriculum, students develop the subject knowledge, independent learning habits and critical-thinking skills that support success in the Diploma Programme.

The transition from iGCSE to IBDP is therefore a natural progression, with students building on the skills and knowledge they have developed while becoming increasingly independent and reflective learners.
