IB Diploma Programme (IBDP): yEAR 12 & 13

At ICS London, we are an accredited IB World School and have extensive experience of delivering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, a qualification recognised and respected throughout the world, including by leading universities in the UK and around the world. 

Our DP students (aged 16-18) are taught by exceptional teachers to thrive in a rapidly changing world. They excel academically and personally, and are accepted into the world’s top universities.

The IBDP

The IB Diploma Programme (DP) is a challenging and enriching curriculum comprising six subject groups and a central core that develops confident, thoughtful and engaged learners.

At the heart of the programme is the DP core: 

  • Theory of Knowledge (TOK) encourages students to think critically about how knowledge is constructed and to question assumptions across disciplines.
  • Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS) complements academic study by involving students in meaningful experiences beyond the classroom, including community service, charity work, animal welfare initiatives and support for younger pupils at ICS London.
  • The Extended Essay allows students to explore a subject of personal interest through an independent research project of up to 4,000 words, building essential skills for university and beyond.
