Early Years (ages 3-5)
Discover Learning Through Play & Outdoor Learning for Early Years at ICS London
We aim to create a sense of community and instil a passion for learning in every student, including our very youngest learners.
Our Early Years programme is apart of the Primary Years Programme (PYP). The PYP (ages 3-11) is the first of the three stages of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme that form a continuum of international education. The first stage focuses on nurturing and developing young children, moulding them into caring, active participants in a lifelong learning journey.
Outdoor Learning plays an essential role in Early Years education. At ICS London, we offer all children regular outdoor learning opportunities to develop their personal, social and emotional skills, enhance creativity and bring our curriculum to life.
Our outdoor learning sessions are planned by our dedicated teachers alongside our Forest School Leader. They are led by the interest of learners. Children enjoy experiences from across the curriculum including telling stories, hunting for invertebrates, making mud pies and exploring habitats.
Outdoor learning builds on the natural instinct to learn that everyone is born with and offers opportunities to make choices, initiate learning and take risks which supports the development of positive attitudes and behaviour.

At ICS London, we believe in providing opportunities for children to play and explore whilst learning about the world around them. The classroom environment is carefully planned by our specialist Early Years teachers to promote independent, confident and successful learners, which results in a lifelong love of learning and success.
