IB Primary Years Programme (PYP): year 1-6
Discover Primary Years at ICS London
This stage focuses on developing young students as caring, active participants in a lifelong learning journey.
Through its inquiry-led approach, diverse list of concepts and transdisciplinary themes, the PYP challenges students to think for themselves and to take responsibility for their learning. They explore local and global issues and opportunities in real-life contexts and all students have the opportunity to learn more than one language from the age of four.
One of the best ways to get to know us and learn more about our PYP is to visit. Simply fill in the form and our Admissions team will be in touch to arrange an appointment.

In the final year of the PYP, students demonstrate independence and responsibility for their own learning in The Exhibition, an important culmination of the programme.
Designed as a holistic programme for all age groups, students continue their learning into the MYP and (i)GCSE programmes which culminates in the globally recognised IB Diploma.
Little Wandle
At ICS London we use Little Wandle to teach students to read. Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised is the fastest growing Department for Education-validated phonics programme, which supports more than 5,000 schools to teach every child to learn to read. Little Wandle's lessons encourage active engagement through choral and individual oral responses. Children also read and write words and sentences to apply new sounds they've learned.
