Calling All Creative Minds: Join the Globeducate Arts Competition 2024!
Ella

Globeducate and ICS London are thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 Arts Competition, a unique opportunity for our students to showcase their artistic talents and explore their creativity. This year, we invite students to dive deep into the theme of “Marine”, exploring the wonders of the ocean through various artistic mediums.

The competition aims to encourage artistic development, celebrate cultural diversity, and foster collaboration within our global community. Students from different age groups will have the chance to express their interpretation of the marine theme, whether it’s through sculpture, painting, photography, or performing arts.

Why Participate?

Participating in the Arts Competition offers numerous benefits. Students will not only enhance their artistic skills but also gain confidence in presenting their work to a wider audience. The competition promotes creative thinking, allows for personal expression, and gives students a platform to showcase their talents on an international stage.

Each school will hold its own local competition, selecting one winner from each category to represent the school in the Globeducate Global Arts Competition. This process not only ensures a high standard of entries but also encourages school communities to come together and celebrate their students’ achievements.

Key Details:

Theme: Marine

Submission Deadline: 15th November 2024

Age Groups:

Lower Primary (Age 5-7)

Upper Primary (Age 8-10)

Inspiration from the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

This year’s theme is inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 14, which focuses on conserving and sustainably using the oceans, seas, and marine resources. We encourage participants to reflect on this goal and incorporate its principles into their artwork, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility alongside artistic expression.

A Word of Encouragement

Monica Fontán, Director of Education at Globeducate, shares her enthusiasm for the competition:

“Art is a powerful medium for expressing ideas and emotions. This competition not only showcases our students’ incredible talents but also highlights important global issues. I encourage every student to participate and let their creativity flow. Remember, every piece of art has the potential to inspire and make a difference.”

Last year's Arts Competition saw one of our current graduates, Lea, secure 3rd place in the Photography category. Lea's success is a testament to her individual talent and the nurturing environment that encourages artistic expression within our school community.

We look forward to seeing the amazing artworks our students will create. Let your imagination take flight and make waves with your creativity in the 2024 Globeducate Arts Competition!

Join us in celebrating creativity, diversity, and the beauty of our oceans. Dive in and make a splash!
